June 18, 2017 was a historic day in Cricket World, which has never be forgotten by any Pakistani neither by Indians. It was the day when Pakistani Shaheens were in full charge and beat Indian Cricket Team by 180 Runs and grab ICC Champions Trophy first ever.

June 18, 2017 was a historic day in Cricket World, which has never be forgotten by any Pakistani neither by Indians. It was the day when Pakistani Shaheens were in full charge and beat Indian Cricket Team by 180 Runs and grab ICC Champions Trophy first ever.

Pakistan Road to Final:

ICC Champions Trophy played in England in 2017. In group stage matches, Pakistan lost its first match by India with a big margin 124 runs (DLS method) as Rain reduced the match to 48 overs per side.

In second match Pakistan beat South Africa by 19 runs (DLS method) as Rain during Pakistan’s innings prevented any further play.

In 3rd match of group stage Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 3 wickets and qualified for the Semi-Finals. Faheem Ashraf  made his ODI debut from Pakistan side.

In Semi-Final match, Pakistan beat home team England with 8 wickets and qualify for Final of CT-17. Rumman Raees was playing his first match.

Final of CT-17:

On June 18, 2017 there was a big match in between Pakistan and India. At that time favorite team was India and most of the cricket experts analyzed that India will win with easily. India won the toss and elected to field.

Pakistan started with brutal style and also conditions favored Pakistan a lot. There was a historic no-ball event from Jusprit Bumrah which was used in funny memes after that. Because due to that no-ball wicket delivery Fakhar Zaman (Pak) scored his first century in an ODI. Which helped Pakistan to score 338 in 50 overs. Pakistan’s total was their highest in any ICC tournament final

India started its batting with falling of wickets in early overs. The remarkable drop and then next ball catch of Virat Kohli was also a memorable event of that final. Pakistan bowl out India on 158 and won the ICC Champions Trophy for the first time. The margin of victory was the largest in any ICC ODI tournament final in terms of runs.
